Docs answer "how does the extension work?" The blog answers "how do I actually follow up on LinkedIn without losing my mind?" — which is the real question.

Why manual follow-ups still win

Automation tools promise to send hundreds of messages for you. The problem is that people can tell. A short, personal message sent at the right time almost always gets a better response than a perfect template sent at scale, and it keeps your account well within LinkedIn's rules.

The trick is not writing more messages. It's remembering to send the right one. That's what most of the posts here are about: simple habits that make sure good conversations don't quietly fade.

A few follow-up rules we keep coming back to

• Decide the next step before you close the tab. If a conversation needs a follow-up, pick a date right away.
• Wait a few working days, not a few hours. People are busy; give them time to reply.
• Add something each time. A useful link, a short question or a quick update beats "just bumping this".
• Know when to stop. After two or three unanswered messages, send a friendly closing note and move on.
